Hold the orders that aren't ready to ship.
Hold fulfillment for orders that match your rules, and release them automatically.
Available now on the Shopify App Store.
How it works
Write a rule
Pick what to look for: a product tag such as "preorder", a vendor, a product type, or the start of a SKU. Match any or all of them.
Orders that match are held
When a new order comes in, Hold Rules puts a fulfillment hold on it, or on just the matching items, with the reason and note you chose. Nothing ships by mistake.
Release when it's time
Release a hold with one click from the Held now list, or on Pro let it release itself on a date or after a set number of days.

Questions
What data does Hold Rules use?
Only what it needs to check your rules: the items in each new order's fulfillment order and their products' tags, vendor, type and SKU. It keeps your rules and the IDs of the holds it placed, and doesn't read or store your customers' personal information. The privacy policy has the details.
